This shirt was designed by our friend Ian Babineau. For the last 5 years, Ian and his collaborator Brian Huddleston have collected images of Minneapolis pedestrian graphics during their daily routines. These often have a raw, unbranded, and distinctly human quality, arising from a combination of computer typography and the beautiful imperfections of an untrained hand. A ubiquitous and strangely classic local towing sign served as a canvas for exploring some shared influences, including Gordon Hempton, Don Buchla, and vintage instrument typeface.
